German and Japanese scholars, academics and students at Göttingen University talk about their experiences in Japan:
- Helmut Takahiro Uchida, doctoral fellow at the Institute for Material Physics and Alumnus of Tohoku University, currently liaising with the university's management in Tohoku
- Takanari Ideura, Japanese student union "For Japan"
- Professor Thomas Pruschke, Institute for Theoretical Physics, in Japan at the time of the earthquake
- Stefan Glatz, student, in Japan at the time of the earthquake
The round of talks will be moderated by Professor Hiltraud Casper-Hehne, Vice President of Research and International Affairs, Göttingen University.
The musical accompaniment of the event will be provided by the Berlin musician, Dietmar Herriger, who plays the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese bamboo flute.
Interested attendees will have the opportunity to talk with event participants and personally ask questions.
