Victoria House

Since 1903 the Botanical Garden of the University of Göttingen has had a Victoria House. In the summer months, the South American giant water lily Victoria could be seen here, whose floating leaves reach a diameter of 1.8 m and, during the mid and late summer, opens its 30 cm wide flowers in the evening.

KINDER-UNI (Children’s University) for Third to Sixth-Grade pupils

The events of the Children’s University are designed for children aged eight to twelve, regardless of the type of school they attend. The aim is to gain initial experience with the institution of the University and to encourage motivation and interest in new issues. Venues are various buildings of the University, such as the central lecture hall building, the University Hospital or the North Campus.
