Funeral service for Professor Ulf Diederichsen


Due to limited capacity, only personally invited guests can attend the funeral service at the Nikolaikirche for Professor Ulf Diederichsen on Friday 19 November 2021 from 14:30. However, the University will broadcast the event via video in the Aula on Wilhelmsplatz. You are cordially invited to attend. Please register via this page to attend.

3G rules apply at this event. Collection of your contact details is required for contact-tracing purposes due to current coronavirus regulations. University staff and students are advised to use the free Campus Covid Screen the day before. Please arrive at the venue on time and have your proof of 3G ready.

The personal data will be processed and transmitted to the following recipients: The data will only be used for the purposes of the event by its organisers. There is no storage of the transmission by the University of Göttingen.
Hosting takes place via the company Zoom. The encrypted audio and video streams are also processed on servers in the USA. The data protection officer of Zoom.us can be reached at Zoom Video Communications, The Data Protection Officer, 55 Almaden Blvd, Suite 600, San Jose, California (95113), USA. Zoom.us's privacy policy ("Privacy Policy", https://zoom.us/de-de/privacy.html) also applies independently of the information provided above. There you will find a list of further data recipients. The University of Göttingen has no influence on this policy.

  • Regarding Art. 13 Section 1 lit. f):

Insofar as Zoom is used, a so-called third country transfer to the United States of America takes place. This was made possible by the conclusion of EU standard contractual clauses that regulate the basis for the data transfer.

  • Regarding Art. 13 Section 2 lit. a):

The storage period of the data varies. Data from a live conference is only temporarily stored and then automatically deleted. In the case of a recording on Zoom.us, this is theoretically available to the teachers/examiners for 5 to 10 years on Zoom, but will be deleted sooner if requested. Otherwise, personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed. Wherever and whenever possible, the data is anonymised.

  • Regarding Art. 13 Section 2 lit. b):

The data subject has a right to access to the personal data concerning him or her and, where appropriate, a right to rectification, a right to erasure or a right to restriction of processing of such data and a right to object the processing and possibly a right to data portability. These rights can also be partially asserted against Zoom.us at the above address.

  • Regarding Art. 13 Section 2 lit. c):

As far as the data processing is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke the consent at any time. The data processing carried out up to then remains legal, the revocation is only valid for the future. In this case your data will be deleted immediately.
