PD Dr. Janosch Schobin

Janosch Schobin is a sociologist specializing in the sociology of nutrition, friendship sociology and loneliness research. Among other things, he has published research on the influence of animal-ethical attitudes on the choice of climate-friendly foods and on the influence of personality dimensions on meat consumption. In addition to his diverse scientific activities, Janosch Schobin is also active in consulting on the development of services to combat loneliness. For example, he supported the Enquete Commission IV of the NRW state parliament with an expert report on loneliness and social change. Janosch Schobin is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher on the WeAreOne project at the University of Göttingen, investigating the prospects of the Anthropocene in various environments around the globe.
