Using research funding strategically Workshop and short coaching for advanced postdocs
Competition within the German and international research system is increasing rapidly. In consequence, researchers have to invest more and more time in applying for external funding. However, not every program is equally suitable for achieving individual or institutional aims. This workshop aims to support advanced postdocs in applying for external funds while taking into account their individual career goals and scientific aspirations as well as institutional goals.
The workshop combines the following aspects:
- Definition of short-, middle-, and long-term individual and institutional goals that participants want to reach via research funding.
- Overview of funding programs suitable for the respective target group. Please hand in your CVs seven days prior to the workshop at the latest. The CVs will be treated according to the current Data Privacy Act.
- Reflection of program requirements and perspectives of funding institutions and reviewers with regard to the selected funding programs.
