The Mono-master "Classical Archaeology" is a double-degree programme in which the subject study consists of 78 credits.
Students complete the second semester of the two-year programme at the Università degli Studi di Palermo (Italy). Good knowledge of Italian (B1) is required and can be acquired prior to the stay within the framework of the key competences programme.
Scope: 78 Credits
The subject-related studies are covered by four specialisation modules and one module for individual profile formation.
Scope: 42 Credits
In this area, the university's key competencies offer numerous opportunities to pursue further interests (such as learning foreign languages or scientific methods) and to expand one's own competencies (e.g. in the area of journalistic writing). However, other subject-specific courses can also be completed.
Scope: 12 Credits
In the Master’s thesis, you will be applying your acquired subject-related, methodological and theoretical competencies by independently working on a scientific topic.
Scope: 30 Credits
You will be taking an interdisciplinarily approach and combine your subject studies with a module package outside the subject to the extent of 36 C. Classical Studies (Classical Philology, Ancient History, Egyptology) or other archaeologies (Late Antique and Byzantine Archaeology and Art History, Prehistory and Early History) are particularly suitable, but also Art History might be suitable.
