Mentees of the 5th round and the Central Coordination Mentoring

The Dorothea Schlözer Mentoring Programme's Kick-off of 6th Round and Closing Ceremony of 5th Round Kick-off of 6th Round and Closing Ceremony of 5th Round took place on November 5, 2015 in the Paulinerkirche.

Prof. Dr. Christine Stadelmann-Nesser, chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the mentoring programme, welcomed all attendees, especially the mentees and mentors. She pointed out how important the mentoring programmes as part of a strategy to support women in their scientific careers still are.
Subsequently, Dr. Vera Bissinger, Central Coordination Mentoring, presented components of the Dorothea Schlözer Mentoring Programme (training, mentoring, networking). Stephani Fischer and Dr. Angela Dieterich, two mentees of the 5th round, set forth with a field report and retrospect of their benefits as mentees within the programme. They encouraged the new mentees to extensively use the offers of the mentoring programme. Prof. Margarete Boos mirrored her experiences as a long standing mentor in the programme. In her following impulse talk on "Followership and the Emergence of Leadership" she presented selected results of her research.

Finally the certificates for all mentees of the fifth round of the Dorothea Schlözer Mentoring Programme were solemnly handed over by Prof. Stadelmann-Nessler and the new mentees and mentors of the sixth round were cordially welcomed. The get-together formed the joyful conclusion of the Kick-off with lots of networking options.

Dr. Vera Bissinger
