Bachelor
In the basic course (Bachelor), the students are made familiar with technical production in forestry. One focus is on possible supply processes for forest wood, taking into account the necessary conditions of use. In this way, the students should not only be able to identify suitable work processes depending on the terrain, location and stand conditions and to calculate the costs for wood provision, but also be able to assess different processes with regard to occupational safety and their ecological effects . A second focus in the basic course is forest development, which is the basis and the first step of any forest management. Silviculture, forest protection, hunting and timber harvesting, but also the recreational use of the forest are not possible without an adequate network of forest trails.
