Forest Work Science and Engineering

The scope of the department of forest work science and engineering at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen includes research and university teaching of work systems and work processes for sustainable management of forest ecosystems.
Special focus is given to process analysis and improvement through use of innovative technology to improve work in the forest with respect to ergonomics, safety and economics. In addition, resource-efficient and socially and environmentally friendly systems and processes are developed.
These designed work systems are prerequisites for successfully implementing land use and forest planning objectives.
