PARTICIPATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM ON LOGISTICS & BEST PAPER AWARD

The International Scientific Symposium on Logistics (ISSL) of the German Logistics Association is a central platform for the international logistics community. Renowned research institutes and companies present innovative solutions, fostering lively discussions. The 2023 event took place from June 19 to 20 in the historic Dreikönigskirche in Dresden, focusing on the theme "Coping with Shortages and Disturbances." Our lab team presented latest insights on "The Price of Resilience: The Case of Retail Logistics." The study presents a new approach for quantifying the efficiency losses of resilience initiatives in retail supply chains and supports informed decisions on resource allocation in retail logistics. It is a special honor for our team to have received the 2023 Best Paper Award of the BVL International Scientific Symposium on Logistics for this contribution.
