Two professorships Materials Physics / Experimental Solid State Physics

The Faculty of Physics at the University of Göttingen invites applications for two temporary professorships (f/m/d) with civil servant status (grade W2 NBesO) with tenure track (grade W3 NBesO) effective at the earliest possible date:

• W2-TT-W3 Professorship in Materials Physics
• W2-TT-W3 Professorship in Experimental Solid State Physics
  

Research should focus on thermodynamics and kinetics, structure-property relationships (materials physics), and the excitation and spectroscopy of novel materials (experimental solid state physics). Examples include 2D materials, hybrid materials, interfaces and heterostructures, strongly correlated materials, and materials with non-trivial topology. Ideally, the primary research focus should complement existing and planned research projects in solid state and materials physics at the University of Göttingen.
