With the new competition Study with IMPACT, a further development of the successful and unique previous program “Creativity in Studies” will start in the winter semester 2024/2025.
Through the support of the AKB Foundation, students from all areas of the University of Göttingen are given the opportunity to implement creative and unconventional projects and get involved in society and the university.

The AKB Foundation goes back to the founder Dr. Carl-Ernst Büchting, who significantly shaped the development of the family-run KWS SAAT AG on the Executive Board for three decades. At the end of the 1990s, he established the AKB Foundation, named after his parents (Annemarie and Karl Büchting).

The AKB Foundation primarily supports church, cultural, scientific and social institutions and projects. In addition to supporting events such as the Göttingen Research Campus series of events and the dissertation prize as part of the annual Alumni Day, the “Creativity and Studies” program at the university has been made possible for eleven years since 2013.
