The Faculty of Law at the University of Göttingen invites applications for a permanent professorship with civil servant status (grade W3 NBesO) at the Institute of Public Law effective at the earliest possible date:
W3 Professorship in Public Law and Administrative Law (f/m/d)
We are looking for a committed and team-oriented colleague who will represent the subject in its entire range in research and teaching. Prerequisites for the recruitment are an already visible specialisation in Special Administrative Law (e.g. in Data Protection Law, European and International Administrative Law, Health Law, Migration Law, Environmental Law) and the suitability in one of the profiling thematical focus areas of the faculty: ”Law and social conflicts“, ”Orders of economic dynamics“, ”Legitimation and Legitimity of public violence“ and ”Organisation and Law“. The University of Göttingen is committed to research-oriented teaching.
Appointment requirements are stipulated by Article 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act in the most current version of that law. As a rule, junior professors and other members of the University of Göttingen can only be considered for a professorial appointment if after the completion of the doctoral thesis they have transferred to another university or worked for a minimum of two years in research elsewhere. The University of Göttingen is a Public Law Foundation and thereby entitled to award professorships. Details will be provided upon request.
