Data Management and Archiving
Securing, storing and ensuring that research data are made permanently available is becoming increasingly significant for national and international research funding organisations. This is also a main current and future objective for the University of Gottingen.
In addition to maintaining good academic practice, an advanced data management system offers easier access to information as well as facilitating focused research enquiries and support for interdisciplinary research. Since April 2010, all applications for DFG projects must provide a statement about objectives for managing research data.
The Research and Transfer Services consult you on all aspects of research data management from the generation of data, its documentation and archiving, as well as to rendering it accessible. We also support you in the preparatory phase of your research project application.
The consultation is in close agreement, and if need be in cooperation with the Göttingen eResearch Alliance.
