Fruit Logistica 2011

Excursion to Fruit Logistica,

Berlin February 2011

On the 10th of February, 2011 a group of 9 master students visited Fruit Logistica Fair in Messe Berlin, Germany.
Fruit Logistica is among the most important and leading international fresh produce trade fairs. This three day fair presents a spectrum of the fresh and vegetable sector, with specialised trade and exhibitors from over 120 countries. It welcomes more than 54000 visitors ever year.




Coming to Berlin and visiting Fruit Logistica is a marvellous experience for the class. They frequently find alumni’s of the IARD program and Göttingen University, and engage in interesting dialogues on new trends and market preferences. Other students meet with potential business partners or employers, and plan interesting research projects or career building.




In addition, one of the areas where the master students most enjoy is the Innovation Section. They have the opportunity to speak and approach the companies, or even the creator or developer, of an outstanding innovation in product or service in the agribusiness arena. These innovations have already been commercially introduced in the market. At the end of the day visit at Fruit Logistica the students can vote for the one they consider to be the most outstanding innovation of the year.
