BioFach 2011

Excursion to BioFach,

Nürnberg February 2011

On the 18th of February, 2011 students of the IARD visited the BioFach & Vivaness Fair in Nürnberg, Germany.

BioFach and Vivaness Fair exhibit in more than 45.000m2 several products like: Organic food, Natural Products, Household supplies, Other Natural Products, Organic Agriculture and Marketing as well as Media and Services. Producers, Manufactures and specialized Trade from over 120 countries gather every year in Nürnberg for this famous Organic Fair.




The students were very excited in learning and trying different Organic products from all over the world. Particular interest was shown in areas such as organic and fair trade certifications, international trading trends, potential export markets and issues involving sustainability of agriculture.




This Fair also presents interesting conferences and seminars on a broad range of topics. This year some students attended the one on “The European Market for Organic Food: Statistics, market and trade updates, special focus on Germany, UK and Central and Eastern European Countries”.
